Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Fairfax County May Have Been Drinking, Police Say

Authorities have identified a 37-year-old pedestrian who they say may have been drinking when he was struck and killed by a vehicle this week in Fairfax County.

Khalid Magan was trying to cross Baron Cameron Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, when he was struck by a Ford F-250 heading west, county police said.

Magan was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene.

Speed and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the crash for the driver. Alcohol is still under investigation for the pedestrian. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
